Located in the heart of the Mediterranean region, Béjaia (Bgayet, Bougie, Bugia, Buzea), a city in Algeria that gave its name to small candles (bougies) and from which the Berber numerals were popularized in Europe, became the capital of the Berber Kingdom of the Hammadids starting in 1067. Its urban fabric, characterized by an uninterrupted history of occupation since ancient times, contains numerous natural sites and historical remains, which still testify to the grandeur of its long history (see the website of the Gehimab Scientific Society).

Location of Activities

The conference proceedings will take place at the premises of the Research Center for Amazighe Language and Culture.
